Ruelia

Destrehan, LA(Zone 9a)

Where can I get Mexican ruelia in red pink and white?

Lake Stevens, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi malihai-
Here is a nursery in your neck of the woods, and a seed store. The nursery is currently out of the pink, but the red ones are on sale! You can also grow these from seeds, but I have never done it and don't know how hard it is. Wow looking at the red one, I must try it now!

Didn't know about the red, I grow the tall pink, and tall blue, as well as short purple and short white. Seeds are usually extremely viable. They do pull easily if they escape tho.

Here is a link to Annies Annuals Red Ruellia. It sounds great. She says it tolerates heat and humidity and is not invasive, hardy to zone8b, blooms May to frost, so it sounds perfect for you Gulf Coasties and Texans.
