I'm pretty sure that I picked up a specimen in the woods here in Thailand and it is now blooming. After much searching and scratching of heads, I decided it must be a Brassavola nodosa. Wikipedia declares that this is only to be found in the Americas, a few websites refer to it as one of the plants to be found in Thailand. The image of. B. nodosa to be found on Dave's Garden differs from my example in that mine does not have the red stipules on the flowering stem and that I have a central petal reaching right down over the lip. Both plants are lithophile.
Is Wikipedia wrong or am I down the wrong path?

Brassavola nodosa?
I'd say yours is definitely Brassavola nodosa. It's widespread across Central America. Probably the ones you found in Thailand were from seeds that escaped from cultivated plants. With very fine wind spread seeds orchids can easily become weeds in the right conditions.
