I am thinking of planting one or more Pride of Barbados plants on the west side of my house. They are large enough to shade the wall in summer, but will die back in the winter to let the sun warm the wall in the winter. However, I am concerned that the roots might do damage to the foundation of house. Is it unwise to plant a Pride of Barbados next to the house?
Is Pride of Barbados foundation friendly?
Here's some general information. I'm not sure if the plant would do any damage if planted next to a house.
Where is the information?
Thank you!
Thanks for the link. In the comments several people mentioned that their plant was next to a wall, with no mention of damage to the wall.
