I saved seed pods of Anemone 'Wild Swan' just before the cold wet weather. Some of the seeds (on outside of little ball filled with cotton?) were brown some still green but I hope some may sprout.
What do I do to separate these almost microscopic seeds from the fuzz?
How to save Japanese Anemone seeds?
I've just collected seeds from my Anemone Pistil and I haven't had the opportunity to study them further (first time for me too). I would suggest that the fuzz isn't such a big deal to keep intact. As such an integral relocation mechanism from moving seed from the mother plant to some bare ground, I can't fathom the fuzz could possibly interfere with germination.
It is a often discussed , the fuzz is the plants natural distribution capability . Sometimes the Full or silk acts as a food for the seed ,(mostly hypothetical )
I have a few I will plant shortly I am still waiting for half a dozen pods on mine to finish developing ,
I would actually plant a whole pod that has been opened , but that is me ,
