This thing stung/bit me. I'm located near Memphis, Tn. Any idea what the heck this thing is?? It's mostly Copper color with green on the belly near the rear.

It's a nymph of an assassin bug in the genus Zelus. These are general predators on other small arthropods, and their 'bite' (actually more of a stab) is harmless to humans.

Thanks Flapdoodle. I feel better now. It sure had a punch for such a small thing. Great to have a place like this to go to and have a knowledgeable person willing to solve questions.
Thanks again!!!
