My best guess is fruit fly larvae (I don't know anything about bugs, just looked at some pictures). Can someone help out please? It's on the trunk of the lime tree (pictured) and I just brought it inside, so I dont want these guys hatching lol. They are everywhere in the soil, I moved it to the trunk for the picture.
Fruit Fry Larvae?
The image is none too clear, but it well could be a fly larva (maggot) of some kind, but almost certainly not that of a true fruit fly (family Tephritidae; which are almost always found within fruit) or a vinegar/pomace fly (family Drosophilidae), which often (but erroneously) also are called fruit flies...
