First time poster here. Was wondering if anyone could identify this terrifying beauty!!?

This spider is in the family Theridiidae and genus Steatoda. Some species in this genus may be referred to as 'false widow spiders'; they can deliver a painful but not dangerous bite if mishandled. See http://www.uksafari.com/steatodagrossa.htm for an example.
