I was looking over my agave this morning and I found this strange greenish bug. Is it a walking stick nymph? If not, then what?

I have never seen one before. That is awesome and I am kind of regretting putting him outside since I have grass spiders in my room and didn't want him to get eaten. The spiders hitchhike from outside in my plants
