I have a lot of this in my garden in the south west France. Some of it seems like a bush/hedge, and some like a tree. It grows well and is obviously pretty tough.
I have no idea what it is so if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated
Glossy green leaves - is it a bush or a tree?
Any chance you could post a picture of the whole plant? You've taken a very good shot of the leaves, but since no one has responded, maybe add a picture to show it's current size/shape. Sometimes there can be an overlap between trees and shrubs if pruning has been done, for example.
BTW, I do like the leaves and it looks like there had been berries or some type of fruit.
You will get more help if you post this on the Plant ID Forum. Here is the link http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/plantid/all/. Good luck!
It is a photinia. I have had this garden for a year now and I realise I have a lot of this! Many thanks to all those that responded and for their help
