It appears to choose Murraya koenigii plant as a host. I will try to take the young one's photo. These are adult bugs. The outer wings are hard. The last image shows the real wings - I left it on water. Its wings got exposed. It also has to little 'feelers' which it can draw inside.

Is it common in other parts of the world also? All the pictures match what I see on my plant. Earlier I used to think the poop was the larva head!
This species occurs from India and Sri Lanka eastward to Thailand and Malaysia...
