Hello! As you may have guessed, I need help identifying a spider I came across today.
It was perhaps a few centimeters long including the legs, sitting in the middle of a large flat web attached to my garage. Unfortunately I can't say how the web was structured, it's hard to see against the garage door.
When I first came across it it was sitting in the middle of the web with it's legs curled up, as shown in one of the pictures, and then when it moved I got the shot of it's back. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of it's eyes.
Usually I'm pretty good at identifying the local arachnids, but this one's got me stumped! I live in the general area of Toronto, ON, Canada. What is this spider?
