I was looking for gulf fritillary eggs on my passiflora Lavender Lady today when I came across a small cluster of eggs on a baby leaf shoot. Four are red and two are pearl/white. I am fairly sure they are butterfly eggs, but I don't know which type they are, and they definitely aren't gulf fritillaries. What are they? And if they are a type of longwing, would it be safer to feed them passiflora incarnata leaves instead?
