Saw two of these critters yesterday near my house, one outside around my porch and the other inside near a windowsill (on two different sides of the house). It was just under a inch in length, so pretty big - the photo's not a very good one but if you look closely you can tell that there's kind of a jagged pattern across its midsection and there are some short white stripes along its side. I live in southwestern British Columbia, and I saw them in the afternoon if that's any help.
