Please help me to identify this insect

I found that strange insect in my garden. I haven't seen an insect like this before, I am sure it's not living in my region (maybe not even in my country) please help me to identify it..

Could you please give a general location? That helps greatly in the identification of any living thing. :)

To me this resembles a stag beetle and there are 1,200 species of them. I may not even be correct, but this is my first impression. Hopefully, someone else will come along soon.

It is a Lethocerus, but not L. americanus which is a North American species. Yours appears to be Lethocerus patruelis - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lethocerus_patruelis
