CLOSED: Spider Id Please - Eastern Shore of MD

Delmar, MD

What am I seeing on the first one? It looks like the legs are coming out of the abdomen. Its body diameter isn't much over 1 mm if that. Body size on the other spider is closer to a half inch.

Thanks...

The first spider might be an immature furrow orb weaver (Larinioides sp.) see http://www.pbase.com/m3ling/image/80704228 for an adult specimen.

The second spider is a jumping spider (family Salticidae) in its silken retreat. It might be Pelegrina galathea, known as the peppered jumper - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pelegrina_galathea_male_Kaldari_03.jpg
