I wish I had a picture but I freaked out and very quickly got rid of it with the vacuum cleaner.

We've been having lots of spider webs suddenly on our deck in our backyard.

Yesterday I was cleaning the house and I opened the door leading to the backyard.
Hanging from the door frame was an all black spider, and looks like it was covered in some sort of a shell.
It had relatively big legs, but short and covered in the same shell as the body.
It was about 2 inches in diameter, from what I can tell.
When I sucked it with the vacuum, it was like I had sucked a hard object.

I live in Quebec.

I searched online but could not find anything like it.

Can't do much without an image. Does not sound like any spider that I am familiar with...
