Is there any way to narrow this down to genus? I am assuming it is related to the Common House Spider (Parasteatoda tepidariorum) because of behaviour and shape. Maybe Steatoda?
The camera did not catch it, but I saw that the legs were a lighter color than the abdomen, more of a brown with darker spots. The abdomen does not have the markings of the P. tepidariorum. I could not see any with the naked eye, or regardless of flash or not when taking photos. There very well could be some.
Thank you for your help. No need to mention the prey, I am very familiar with that thing.

The spider does appear to look more like a Steatoda sp. than a house spider, but a full dorsal view would be helpful...
I used bug guide and went up the names since I didn't see anything in the Parasteatoda genus. Sadly, this spider didn't hang around too long, so I did not have any more chances for photos. Maybe I'll find another. I never bother cleaning the outside of windows and there are spiders all over.
Thank you for looking at this.
