My dwarf Malaysian coconut tree has delivered twins, as in 2 sprouts from one nut. This is the first one I have seen in 15 years of growing. Does anyone know if this sprout, when mature, will be likely to produce more twins? Thanks

I don't know a lot about plant genetics but my thought is that this is a one time fluke of nature. Nothing has changed for this plant genetically and its offspring will be normal. The only way to know for sure is to grow some of the coconuts from this plant and see if they are twins.
