CLOSED: Another Canadian Butterfly
Looks like a Tortoise Shell hybrid, though I don't know that such exists. Look forward to a proper ID.
Looks like a Compton tortoiseshell (Nymphalis l-album); the wing pattern of this species shows a fair amount of individual variation – see http://www.luontoportti.com/suomi/images/10911.jpg for an example.
