Hello, my son found these bugs on our catnip plant. It appeared to have killed a couple of bees. I have been unable to identify it. Any help is much appreciated!

This is a special kind of assassin bug (family Reduviidae) known as an ambush bug; they used to be placed in a separate family (Phymatidae). As their name implies, they sit and wait (often in flowers) for potential meals to come within grabbing distance.
