Hi Guys,

Unfortunately I’ve encountered and killed the scorpion in the picture.
Can anyone tell me what specie this scorpion is, and is it dangerous?

Thanks!!
Yotam

Compare with this one - http://www.jerusalemzoo.org.il/aecommerce/c1872/8827.php

As a general rule, scorpions with greatly enlarged chelae (front 'claws') such as yours are far less dangerous than ones having very slender chelae, such as the deathstalker scorpion - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildlife_of_Israel#/media/File:Deathstalker-israel.jpg

ככל הנראה עביד שחום (https://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%A2%D7%91%D7%99%D7%93_%D7%A9%D7%97%D7%95%D7%9D)
Big, stout chelae and a small sting at the tail's tip indicate this Scorpio maurus fuscus is one of the less dangerous species. Too bad you killed it, it would have made an interesting pet or a delicious kebab...
