Is this a Chestnut Oak? I don't see too many of these planted around Boston. I honestly thought it was a Pear Tree I never heard of before until I saw the acorn.

You didn't quite get focused on any buds (at base of leaf petioles) or young branches, which might help separate Oak species.
The acorn doesn't seem right for Chestnut Oak (more like Swamp White Oak), but since oaks are promiscuous this could have characteristics resembling more than one species.
Unless you can provide more images, you might not get better than a "could be".
Many reasons not to believe this is a Pyrus sp. even without seeing an acorn. Lobed margins, to start with.
