This is very strange species of ant, northern WI so it's nothing exotic fire ant or anything. But the weird part is this ant was in my brothers attic in his garage which is extremely hot and no food or water source for them to even be up there, the exterminator of 15 years was completely baffled and said all he did was mostly ant jobs and never seen any type of species like that. They were nesting and chewing at the foam, and look at the stinger on the abdomen, they're actually really small in size, and black head, redish thorax, black abdomen.
I know this isn't outside, but what in the world is this?
Might be in the genus Crematogaster; often called acrobat ants - http://www.tightloop.com/ants/crespp.htm
