CLOSED: Trying to identify what bug is clear on top & dark on bottom

Hello everyone!

So I have an idea of what it looks like, but I really hope I'm wrong, so I'm posting here to see if you guys could help.
It has been raining for the last couple of days here in NC and whenever it rains we usually get things from outside coming inside the house, I've never seen a bug that looks like this however, and it was crawling around on my carpet in my room...*cringes*

Thank you very much for any help!!

Looks like "outdoor" roaches, as opposed to structure-dwelling cockroaches. We get them in from time to time, but they don't "infest" the house.

What you have there are Wood roach nymphs. See: http://www.ipm.iastate.edu/ipm/iiin/woodcoc.html. Easy way to tell the difference between these and the unwanted kind (oriental cockroaches) is the wood roach is commonly seen during the day. Oriental roaches tend to wait till dark to come out and scramble as soon as lights are turned on.

Thanks so much you guys! I was worried it was a bed bug...haha. >.
