I found this caterpillar crawling on my porch about 20 minutes ago, but I cannot seem to find the right identification online. I've found a few photos of caterpillars with bright red heads (as in the photo attached), but not with the horns or the tail.
Note that a "fuzzy" and what appears to be a ladybug shell are stuck in the caterpillar's horns. I've done my best to sharpen and lighten the quick photo so it's clearer for you guys.
CLOSED: Horned worm of some type
I think it is a White-marked tussock moth larvae, Orgyia leucostigma.
Do not touch this as it can cause a reaction. We saw them earlier this summer. I wonder if the ladybug bit more than it can chew. :)
