Hi. I just wanted to know if I can grow two different passion flower plant in one container.
Passion Flower
There's no problem growing more than one variety in a container. Some Passion Flowers grow into humongous plants so I can foresee two problems:
1. the size of the container (these vines climb trees - tall trees). The size of the container is always going to be the limiting factor.
2. the potential of the two plants in the container. If one is a dainty grower and one is very vigorous, the vigorous one will crowd out the smaller one.
Daisy
Thank you, Daisy, for your reply. I have a purple passion flower in 20 gal. container with a trellis and was thinking of adding a Maypop passion flower plant to the same container. I don't know the growing habit of either plant. Would these two plants be compatible?
Google both plants and research their growth habits and size.
