Hi,
I am new to the site, but am very impressed with your knowledge. I love my garden. I could use some help with my grass/sod. I have a problem. My landscaper sold me expensive sod that died. Infested with sod webworms and diseased. It was supposed to be St. Augustine sod both times for sunny areas.
I had to fight to get him to replace it. I live in a hot and sunny area in Florida. It appears that he replaced my sod with 2 types of sod mixed together in blocks. He was supposed to match it to what I have in the rest of my yard which is St. Augustine sod for heavily sunny areas (Floratam)..
The thin grass he put in is already browning after 3 days, while the St Augustine on the far left that matches my established St. Augustine looks good so far.
Can anyone identify the thin grass? Is it Fine Fescue or Bluegrass etc?
Does anyone have advise on how to hadle this situation? I paid thousands for something that they are not giving me. Or, how can I save this grass? It seems not to mix with 103 degree weather and high sun. I am doing all I can with water.
P.S. The photo shows the far left thick blade grass- matches what I have. St. Augustine grass
The other grass blades are a mystery...
Thank you,
Raven
