Bug ID
Looks like one of the small solitary bees in the family Halictidae. Sometimes called 'sweat bees', their sting packs quite a wallop for their size. Fortunately, the effects are short-lived...
I do believe you're right. I hadn't noticed any stripes on its body, but the wings were folded down. I will look for stripes next time. Thanks for your help!
