Is this a spider? From a distance it looks like it's floating above the daisy, but it's actually suspended by a web. Length is around a quarter inch or so.

Perhaps a spider in Micrathena? Shot of top would be very helpful.

Definitely looks like a juvenile Micrathena - see http://www.spiders.us/image/micrathena-sagittata-4/ and http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/85232337 for a couple of species as adults...
