Two months ago i bought two cacti and i planted them i a small wood box with some regular planting soil and small rocks (in the picture), I watered them only twice a month with not much water so they won't rot. And a week ago, after I felt before that the cactus is not stable like it don't have roots, i discovered that it really don't have roots and its bottom rot somehow. And today, after I tried (a week ago) to plant it in another small pot and watered it only ones its lower part decayed totally.
Can i save my cactus? And how can i make my other cacti avoid from same fate?
A big thanks to everyone who will try to help
Why my little cactus is melting??
Sorry, but you should not use ordinary soil for cactus. And you cannot make ordinary soil 'well draning' by adding some rocks. Start over with fresh healthy cactus, in good quality cactus soil, make sure the container can drain, give them good light.
If you can get good cactus soil, you can try slicing off the healthy part and rooting it

You most definitely can make ordinary soil well draining by adding some rocks, if they are the right kind (eg. pumice, perlite) and they are mixed into the soil. This is exactly how I make the soil for all my succulents. Rocks on top serve a decorative role but do not affect drainage.
The best way to water most cacti is to get the soil thoroughly wet (until the water comes out the bottom) and then allow the soil to dry out before watering again. Does your box have drain holes? This could be the cause of the problem. Never use a container that does not have an exit for the water.
