These little guts were all over our Aruncus blooms in May, but appeared to do no damage, perhaps eating pollen. They were quite small and it was difficult to get clear photos of them. Thanks for any insight.

There are several families of beetles that include pollen feeders, but most of them can be eliminated from consideration by general appearances. These might be either very small scarab beetles or possibly bean 'weevils' (actually a type of leaf beetle). Unfortunately, I cannot see enough detail to be useful in identification...
Thank you for your input, I figured that it might be a lost cause. You were helpful by narrowing it down. Appreciate your efforts.
Edited to ask: Could they be a very small species in Dermestidae?

Rather doubtful that they'd be dermestids, but I learned a long time ago that it is unwise to say 'never'...
Also, the manner in which a couple of them are holding their hind legs appears typical of a scarab.
