Yesterday this mysterious beetle looking bug appeared on our front porch, dead. It has colors like a bee, but is much, much bigger! I've never seen anything like this before. (I am in Washington state).

A photo of the back would be more helpful, but I think it is a beetle in the genus Polyphylla, judging from the antenna and striped pattern on its back.
Although there is more than one species in the genus Polyphylla reported from Washington, it most likely is Polyphylla decemlineata, the 10-lined (or tenlined)June beetle - http://jenny.tfrec.wsu.edu/opm/displayspecies.php?pn=640
