I am looking for a fairly large 5-6' tall if possible mimosa tree. I have two that are at least 25 years and they are getting very close to coming down, gorgeous as they are.

I don't know if you'll find those at a nursery. But there are plenty in my hedge. I would think you have volunteers too. Maybe you can grow one up in a large pot until it's big enough to put in the place you want.
I found a very nice specimen at a local nursery. She had just two left. Snagged one!!! It resides close to the one that is loosing its grip.
