We get a nice gentle rain about every other day here. Shrubs are starting to flop from the moisture and lack of sunshine. I know, I know, I should just be grateful that we're not in an epic drought like California. I get that, but whining about the weather is ingrained in Wisconsin culture. You take that away from us, you take away a big part of our lives.
I'm not sure what this foliage has in it that makes rain bead-up, but it's pretty cool. Sorry, the pics are marginal at best.
The Pacific Midwest
Pseudo. That does look just like my yard! I played around with this same photo-op a month or two ago, unsatisfactorily. However, this year we are having weather like California.
That's how I like to garden too, I find it interesting to mix colors, textures and shapes.Very nice photos! People generally purchase Alchemilla mollis just for that characteristic, it's also the reason this plant sticks in my head. It's so cool and it's called the Lotus Effect.

Mipii, I did not know that. Thanks! I'm really trying to remember the botanical names of perennials, but struggling mightily. All I know is I'm fond of Babtisia and Salvia. :)

Okay, okay, I believe you.
Lol!
Baptisia and Salvia are both great, I'm very fond of them too. I lost a Salvia greggii 'Wild Thing' last winter, I loved it...it blooms late in the season with intense color when not much else is blooming.

and Baptisia was the first thing I grew from seed, I'm still waiting to see some blooms but also really like their seed pods.
