I purchased 3 Salvia farinacea plants about a month ago. I planted them correctly in my backyard which gets morning sun. They have not grown at all. The flowers went from a beautiful purple color to a grayish green color. The flowers almost match the color of their leaves. The leaves are not wilted and the plant does not look like it is dying. What am I doing wrong? Over/under watering? Too much sun/not enough? Should I just leave them alone since they are newly planted? All my neighbors (Chicagoland area) have beautiful salvia plants. I want the purple back. Help!
