i live in Arizona and just spent a few dollars on large glazed pots, bought them because of there looks. my question is how do i keep them form fading out, a few of them are really heavy baked so im not going to worry about them but a few dont have that heavy glaze look, like this one.
sun fade glazed pots
I dont think you can avoid fade, but what are you using them for? Could be their usefulness and fade progress downhill together... there are products for stone that gives it a wet look. I havent used these and do not know if they are even applicable for what you want.
I have a can of spray paint that is a clear coat, with a UV protectant in it. Mine is a matte finish but I think it also comes in a shiny finish. I think you might be able to just spray a coating of this stuff.
I think there are some UV absorbing clear glazes y might try. I do know if green I pigment is in the glaze, they will have color change as the green is very unstable in sunlight.
