I got back from the beach today and this bug must've snuck into my shorts. I felt a sharp pain and looked down to see this bug biting me. There is a picture of the bug and the bite. I am from the California central coast. Can anyone help me figure out what bit me and let me know if I need medical attention? Please and thank you,

This appears to be a damsel bug, a predatory bug in the family Nabidae. Although painful, their bite is not dangerous, and no treatment other than pain relief should be necessary
