I would like to know the name of this plant. I encountered it while in eastern Washington this last weekend. It was growing on a steep south facing slope that was mostly rocky that was very dry/dusty. We recently had a wildfire in the area and this plant has popped up everywhere. It has small yellow flowers with velvety feeling leaves. It attaches to socks and fabrics like velcro and gave me an odd red/welt rash.
Can anyone help me identify this plant?
You should post to plant id forum. Some weeds do irritate more than others, but it isnt poison ivy at least. Sounds as if it could be a 'hitchiker' type plant.
