Just saw this poor guy at the park. Seems to have two conjoined incomplete bodies?
Genetically confused caterpillar?
Sphinx Moth. Hawk moth. Not Butterfly
But can you see how it seems to have two bodies forming?
Not just two moths?
These are mating cecropia moths (Hyalophora cecropia) in the family Saturniidae -

Lul. That makes alot more sense. The likeness of it's thorax? to a caterpillar and it lieing around not fleeing threw me off. I feel naive now ; ).
