Came home today and noticed this odd dirt mound on an outdoor windowsill. I sent a picture of it to my pest control friend and he said he's never seen anything like it, so I'm wondering if it's something you guys have ever seen. If it's even bug related, that is. He just did a perimeter treatment Monday, and this mound literally formed today, because it wasn't there yesterday.
Thanks!

Weird dirt mound bug related?
These are the fruiting bodies of a fungus of some type...

Very interesting. It explains, perhaps, why I didn't notice any holes under it and why it didn't scrape away as easily as I thought it would.
Interesting how fast it grew. We had our lawn mowed and serviced Sunday, so maybe something got caught up in the air and landed on the sill.
Thanks for the info, flapdoodle.
