Could do with some help identifying this Butterfly. My guess is some kind of Fritillary but I cannot find anything matching. Also looked at Browns, Coppers and Skippers.
Unidentifed Butterfly SW France
Looks like a type of fritillary to me as well, but I share your frustration in not being able to find a match. I wonder if it could be an unusual variant of an otherwise well-known species?
Thanks for looking Flapdoodle, could be, as you say, an unusual variant. Looked again later but couldn't find it amongst all the other fritillaries.
