I got a package from Naka-ku in Okayama Japan, and it contained this dead beetle. I don't know if anyone will know since this beetle may be from Japan, but I thought I'd try asking. Also, I don't know if it's possible that this crawled in the box and died in the United states, but if that's the case I live ten minutes from Columbus Ohio.

Weird beetle found dead in package from Japan
Not a beetle, but a cockroach; might be an oriental cockroach, which has nearly world-wide distribution...
It looks like it could be the oriental cockroach, but it doesn't have wings and it looks much darker. Should it have wings? Also, should i be worried about these infesting my house or are they not known for that?
Dead cockroaches are not known to be seriously invasive.
Well it was alive at one point
Cockroach nymphs, as well as female oriental cockroaches, lack wings...
