Greetings to everyone,
I live in an old house with lots of cracks on the walls so I guess that bug problem aren't really quite the novelty. Still, It's been on and off with this bites that I can't identify. I begin being bitten during summer and it occurs during the night in my bed, so my first thought was bedbugs. But reading about bedbugs i found that normally you don't feel getting bitten as they inject some anesthetic at first. I do feel the bites, when I'm awake, it's like a little sting that gets itchy and it gets worse in the next few days until it gets smaller and disappear. Yesterday I did catch one of the little monsters biting my shoulder and here you can see the photo. I couldn't take a photo of it in its normal form cause its very small and i was afraid i was going to tear it apart if i tried to modify it so the photo (which is largely zoomed) shows it gathered around its own. To me it seems like some kind of ant but it doesn't make sense for it to be under my bed. Or perhaps do I have both bedbugs and ants. I don't know so please if you can identify it by seeing the photo you'd really do me a favor.
Waiting for your answers...
I thank you a lot in advance and don't hesitate to ask me for signs that maybe I forgot to mention.
Please help, identification needed!
Unfortunately, I do not believe that this specimen can be identified with any confidence from this image, it could be just about anything, including an ant. Please try to get another photo of an undamaged specimen, preferably one where appendages (legs, antennae) can be seen.
Looks like an ant, and they are much more likely to bite than spiders. Do they have six legs? Spiders have 8.
I cannot get these images to enlarge...
The body does look ant-like, but as I cannot see the antennae clearly, I can't be certain. There also are some tiny wingless wasps (parasitic on other insects) that can appear quite ant-like.
this is the last photo i could take. i just cant do a better one cause its really small. if nobody can identify it than maybe ill have to find a specialist or just throw a general insecticide that maybe will resolve the situation.
Please tell me if you can arrive identifying smth by this photo.
Thank you again
From this aspect, it looks more like a tiny wingless wasp than an ant, but a positive i.d. still is not possible; sorry...
