Wow, Evert - we're in the 75-77 F range right now. Overnight low will be around 46 F tonight. Need me to send you a coat or some gloves? Brrr!

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

It's in the low 50s F, after a good hard frost this morning. We're looking forward (?) to 30s and snow on Monday and Tuesday.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Hi! I hope it would be colder! It will just rain water not snow if it is up to zero...

BTW temperatures like 19 to -0 F aren't uncommon here in the winter! It might be rarely even here in southern Finland -22 F sometimes but it is not very common. I've got gloves thanks ;) I have even knit a pair of them...

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

in the afternoon in central PA ....

52F (11C) outside . The sun is shining, but with the cold air, it's just a tease. :)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

22F right now and supposed to go down in the teens tonight. The coldest I've seen it here in the last 15 years has been -38F but it is not unusual to see -15 to -25F here in the winter.Sheesh, Florida and Arizona looks good. LOL

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

snowhermit, I think that the weather is much same like there as here? We usually just don't have as cold as there in winter... But almost. By the way, in Fahrenheits temperature alternation is much slighter... because f.ex. 0 to 10 C is very much in warmness but 0 to 10 F... not so much. Did you understand my bad english explanation?

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

I'm in a t-shirts and shorts. Great outside...sunny and very pleasant.

75 degrees F

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

It hit 81F yesterday and 79F today.Sunny and beautiful. I put up Christmas lights barefooted! Not entirely normal, but I'm grateful for every day like this, even though the Kudzu is starting to resprout.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

LOL Evert. Yes I did understand your English. I think we do have about the same weather. Do you get much snow? Last year there was more snow than usual and we had about 2 feet on the ground all winter. We have already had a little snow but it was gone by the next day.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We had 78F here today, will be in the upper 40's tonight. Things are starting to grow again here too. My brugs outside are blooming again.

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Today in northeasten Oregon we had about 45F with a wind of about 15 mph. That made it feel more like about 25 degrees. I live just about 4 miles south of the 45th parallel at an elevation of 3300 feet above sea level.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Right this second its 42. They tomorrow will be the end of our above normal temps. The highs will only be in the 40s and the lows will be low 30s! No more 60s not even a 50!
=[

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

It was a warm 66 F here today and is expected to get to a low of about 38 F tonight. Don't even need to light a fire!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Snowhermit, we did't get almost any snow in October-December. First 'real' snow we got came on Dec 24th! Our Chrysanthemums were still blooming last december, I couldn't believe it! In January to March we got more snow. We have snow here also now, but not much, because lots of it melted away. :) I'm not sure was it winter 1998 or 97 when we had about 70 cm to 2 m (1 feet = 30 cm) snow here in South Finland. That was a nicey winter ;)

Evert, We'll have to keep in touch during the winter and compare weather.

Well, my dear friends,I think I have gone from Texas to London here. Very foggy every morning and been having light rains now for the past week. Got that London fog moving in for sure here. So foggy in the mornings; can't even see Big Ben. A shame. I would like to be able to see it. Wouldn't even be able to see the Queen,if she happened to go by......pity. Would so much like to see the Queen as well. Some other time maybe. Until then,ta ta.
It does warm up in the afternoon tho my dear friends. In the upper 70's and low 80's and cooling off in the evenings. Not going to complain about the weather tho; we really needed the moisture. Now the fog, well that's another story, especially when it is so thick that you can't even see the neighbors house and my DH has to drive in it every morning. Just not a good thing.

OH no! NO more 40s! by tuesday, the low will be 28 and the high 38 and they are calling for rain and snow mixed...for almost every day. *sigh*
I guess now I have to hope for a white christmas!=}

"Tis the season."
HO HO HO-send the snow!

*Lisa I wish you a white christmas! >:-)

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Hee Hee Hee..(or Ho Ho Ho) Now just what would Lisa do if she actually had a white Christmas???

either faint or go out and make snow angels.

Montrose, PA(Zone 5a)

wE HAD 57F i PLANTED SOME ALLIUMS. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL OUT. SUPPOSE TO STRUGGLE INTO THE 30'S BY WEDNESDAY! OH, YEA! YUCK!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

It us sunny here today and hit seventy. We just came in. I raked up tons of leaves, then mowed the grass. My hubby climbed up on the roof and started the Christmas lights. It is supposed to snow on Tuesday. Bleck. LOL

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

76 here today and partially cloudy.I washed windows.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

82-68 F range. Pleasantly cool. Winter is just about beginning. It will go down a few degrees by December. Light woolen is sufficient. The fog starts in the evening and some mornings are foggy with poor visibility. If we open our mouths out in the fog in the mornings and do "Hhaaaa", a smoke-like vapours go out.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Warm and breezy here at 1:40 pm CST. Around 67 F degrees, but rain predicted for tonight, and then tomorrow will be markedly colder, with a high around 45 F (I don't think it got down that cold last night!)

We should warm back up by the middle of the week, although our 70-degree weather may be gone for good this time.

What would Lisa do with snow? Well, she'd run out and make a snow angel, then complain because her shorts got wet and her bare arms were cold!!!

Good Morning Evert' It's 46 degrees F,overcast with a storm brewing' I have been outside checking on the holiday decorations this morning' Some of my little tomato cages were on their side' Thought I had them anchored pretty good with my rocks but added more, lol' That probably sounds strange but here it isn't. Many of us turn our cages upside down and put greenery/lights on them,so cute' I lined our path with them in red lights this year'/ My feeble attempt at creating an image, lol' Not as talented on the machine as you and
others, yet' I give up,lol, hope you get the idea' Sis'

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

It's 6:30 PM and Tampa is reporting 77 degrees Fahrenheit with a south wind of 3-5 MPH

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

At 5:30 pm CT, it's 62 F and drizzling. Which is good - we need some rain very badly.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

That doesn't sound too cold! But if it isn't windy I'd be out making a snowman! Do you have snowball fights there? We used to build forts and lob snowballs at each other. But that was many many years ago when these old bones could take the cold!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

:) yes we have snowball fights sometimes hehe... anyway, I'm not too interested in them. I like to make snow lanterns etc... LOL =)

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

What is a snow lantern? it sounds pretty.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Hmm... it's like, you make snowballs, and make them somekind of cone-like 'lantern', then put a candle inside and... you got a snow lantern. You can also make it of ice, it is very popular here also. I don't remember how to make them put sure they are cool. I try to find some photos of both for you.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

That sounds so beautiful. I hope you can find pictures! I would love to see them.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

OK, snow lantern (we call it lumilyhty) looks like this:

http://www.hut.fi/~ppankala/lumilyhty2.jpg

We got a snow hotel here, in Kemi for 2 years I think.... it was made of snow!!! There was a hotel, restaurant, etc.. sounds cool? :)

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow! That is really cool! I saw a show on tv awhile back about a ice hotel! It looked awsome but I think it would be cold! But they said they rebuild it evey year and are always at full capacity!

Double Wow' Thanks Evert':D

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Hey, here's the official site of the Kemi Snowcastle, http://www.snowcastle.net/
