In northern Botswana, where I live, there is this cricket which I hear very often, but have only seen once. It invariably stops calling when you approach it, and remains hidden. It has a high-pitched squeaky call of about 3 notes per second. I attach some photos of the insect. I think it is a cricket, but am not sure. can anyone identify it for me (English and Latin name, if possible)? Thanks.
