These two beetles were on a Linaria seedling today. Would like to know what they are. Thanks

These are soldier beetles in the family Cantharidae, they feed on nectar, pollen, and other insects. There are several species in different genera that can have a similar appearance; I believe that these may be in the genus Atalantycha; see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/100466608 for an example.
