Found this guy on my side mirror of my car. I live in South Florida. Can anybody tell me what this is?

This 'guy' is a girl; it's a female orb weaving spider, possibly a tropical orb weaver in the genus Eriophora.
Cool looking creature!
Thank you! She was rather pretty and I wanted to know what type she was. I let her be and let her find her own way. I didn't want to move her, I think moving any type of animal can stress it and I didn't want to do that. How are you able to identify the type of spider? What gives it away or lets you know by looking at it, which type it is?
Most spiders have a characteristic appearance and/or pose that often allows tentative identification to at least the family level. This spider was immediately recognizable as an orb weaver (family Araneidae), and I believe that Eriophora is the most likely genus based on the appearance of its abdomen. I would be more certain if I could see it with its legs spread out.
