Hello all,
I need some help. I am a gardener and not an electrician! I have low voltage garden light with a photocell in the front of my house. One of the transformers went. (I switched the "good" transformer and the "bad" transformer around and got the same results so I'm pretty sure it's the transformer.) So I went on-line and tried looking for a new one, but there are so many options out there, I'm not sure what I need to look for.
Here's the info on my old transformer:
Model number: DA-40-12W-1
Input: 120V~ 60Hz 48VA
Output: 12V~ 3.33A 40VA
Using this information, what should (or should not) I be looking for in a new transformer?
Does this all make sense?
Do you need any more info?
Thanks!
Jennier
need help finding a replacement low voltage transformer
Not great at that either. There are electrical supply wholesalers around- like Grainger - that if you take the part to, they will give you info and possibly have these parts. You didn't show a pic of this part so I am rusty at this replacing thing, sorry.
