Grocery store rose lost original scent

Hello, I bought a lovely little set of mini roses with a wonderful raspberry like scent, figuring I've had good luck with outdoor roses and for $5 I'd give the red and white splashed beauty a chance. I brought it home and repotted it in a mixture of compost and miracle grow organic potting soil, watering it well and having it in the sun outdoors as much as possible. It's been about 3 days and I realized today the scent is gone. It was such a nice fragrance I'm a little heartbroken. What happened?

Roses, some aromas are affected by conditions around them. You just uppotted, so the plant is now putting its energy into the roots, you did this while it was still in bloom? Has anything else changed for it - sun, temps,etc.
