Please share your technique for germinating RM seeds....the seeds I have are from last years plants. They seem to die out every year but I love the look so I don't mind treating them like annuals even though they should be hardy for zone 5 in central Illinois....sometimes I have success in germination and sometimes not...anyone experienced in growing this plant??

I had never heard of this rudbeckia, so had to look it up. This wont help you this year, but have you thought of taking root cuttings in the fall:

How to sow info on internet says sow in a cold frame, so I'm wondering if they require cold stratification and if you have tried wintersowing them, or have otherwise given them the cold stratification?
